Generating and Managing Social Media Posts from Commits

Create platform-specific social drafts from GitHub changes and review them before sharing.

Generate social drafts

Connect your GitHub account and select the repositories you want to track. Makrly uses repository metadata, commit messages, diffs, and author information to understand changes and generate content.

Makrly filters out mundane changes, such as typo fixes and formatting, and highlights meaningful work. Not every commit will produce a post.

Platform formats

Makrly can generate distinct content for:

  • X (Twitter): short posts.
  • LinkedIn: professional, longer-form posts.
  • Threads: conversational posts.
  • Bluesky: community-focused posts.
  • Facebook: content accessible to non-technical audiences.

Your personality preferences and custom instructions guide the tone. OpenAI and OpenRouter are the supported provider connections.

Review before sharing

Generated posts are drafts you can review, edit, or regenerate in the dashboard before sharing. Check that each draft accurately describes the change and fits the intended platform.

Changelog auto-publishing is a separate project setting: enabling it can publish generated release notes automatically. Do not confuse that setting with reviewing your social drafts.

Syncing and generation require active product access and an available AI configuration. See current product documentation for trial and plan limits.
